Wisteria Place

Together with seismic upgrades and renovations to the Steveston Buddhist Temple in Richmond, Wisteria Place includes 107 affordable independent living seniors’ residences. Subtle Japanese elements in the 4-storey design and optional cultural/food services add a unique offering to the seniors’ market supporting those who are frail, have disabilities or who live alone and need help with their daily activities. Wisteria Home compliments Steveston Buddhist Temple by expanding their social offerings and unique delivery of integrated community space connected to the Temple for increased programming and activities. Amenities include a commercial kitchen, dining hall, tuck shop, hair salon, and many more. The design incorporates a large central courtyard with koi pond and zen garden while building cut-aways provide picturesque views from multiple points throughout of Steveston Park.
