The Alex

The Alex is an affordable rental project for Atira Women’s Resource Society, developed in partnership with the Metro Vancouver, BC Housing, City of Port Coquitlam and Fraser Health Authority. Atira is a not-for-profit that supports women and children affected by violence or struggling with substance use and/or mental and spiritual wellness, by offering safe, supportive housing and by delivering education and advocacy aimed at poverty, discrimination and ending all forms of gendered violence. The project consists of 11 townhomes and 72 apartments that vary from shelter rates to regional housing income limits of affordability. 14,000 sf of community amenity space will include an affordable childcare and a community health centre that will offer family practice, general practitioners and specialists.
