Kinship Housing Co-op

Kinship is an affordable co-operative housing project developed in partnership with the Community Land Trust Foundation of BC (CLT) and the Vancouver Affordable Housing Agency (VAHA) with low-interest financing provided by Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) under the Rental Construction Financing Initiative program. With 140 units geared to low-and-moderate income households, 71 per cent of the units are family residences incorporating barrier free design requirements throughout all common areas and amenities. Twelve of the homes are fully accessible, and the building(s) achieve a 15% reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and energy efficiencies against the National Energy Code of Canada for Buildings (NECB 2015) baseline.
